We are TTEP

Since April 29, 2026, EP NL has been part of TTEP, the new European energy company owned by EPH and TotalEnergies. With the official registration of the new names, since August 5th 2026, this step is now becoming visible in the Netherlands as well.

The former EP NL organization continues as TTEP Netherlands. This marks a new chapter in a history spanning more than a century: from PZEM, via EP NL, to TTEP Netherlands.

A strong Dutch foundation within TTEP

TTEP is a 50/50 joint venture between TotalEnergies and EPH, headquartered in Amsterdam. The company brings together a portfolio of nearly 30 sites across Europe, primarily gas-fired power plants — both combined cycle and open cycle — supplemented by biomass installations and battery energy storage systems.

Within this group, the Netherlands holds an important position. Through the Sloe power plant, Rijnmond, and its 50% stake in Enecogen, TTEP Netherlands has around 2.6 GW of flexible generation capacity. This makes a significant contribution to the security of supply and stability of the Dutch electricity grid.

At the same time, TTEP Netherlands is investing in further sustainability efforts and optimization of its installations, strengthening its position in the Dutch B2B energy market, and working on innovative solutions for the energy system of the future, including battery storage.

More than a century of experience focused on the future

The new name represents more than a formal change. It reflects the evolution of an organisation that has been closely connected to the Dutch energy sector for generations.

The company’s roots can be traced back more than a century to the establishment of the Provinciale Zeeuwse Electriciteits-Maatschappij (PZEM). Through EP NL, that legacy now continues within TTEP, a new European energy company that brings together the strengths of two international energy groups. From a provincial utility to a national electricity company, and now a European energy enterprise, the organisation has continuously evolved while remaining committed to powering society.
